"It is a collaboration: you do the mile, watching you… they smile : )"
Whether you are a fitness buff, a fun runner or simply a good samaritan with a heart to help, why not make your Sundays afternoons and trainings more meaningful by sweating it out for a worthy cause?
What's up?
Smile for a Mile is a week-long social project to raise funds for the Disabled People's Association (DPA), primarily to support a range of courses and training to help the disabled integrate into the society as normally as possible.
This event is also part of the Citibank-YMCA Youth for Causes as well as the President's Challenge.
For the weekdays, youth would be at the forefront of the project, ordinary student runners from 15 schools would run a mile - that would amount to many miles!
For the weekends (Sundays), members of the public can adopt a running tag and thus a mile during our street sales; while a group of C.O.R.E runners will match the funds raised according with the no. of miles they will be running.
How can YOU help?
YOU are invited to be part of our 'C.O.R.E Runners' team! To run on behalf of our public donors on the days of our street sales!
How many volunteers are needed?
