Hey everyone :D Could you all help me do this survey!

And it'd be great if you can forward this url to your friends and parents and grandparents or whoever you know regardless of their age. Cos my community service project group is trying to collect responses from as wide a range of age as possible to ensure that we cover the opinions of the young and the old of the community.

Your responses would really help us alot.

Thanks and please do us a favour :D

Our church is a happening church. Here are all the upcoming events!

21 July (Sat) - Buddhist Talk by Rev. Malcolm Tan, Senior Pastor of Barker Road Methodist Church. 2.00-5.00pm
We encourage everyone to go for this one. Heard that he's a really good communicator! So it'll be interesting... It's free, informative and will be a good tool to have especially when we are trying to understand why some of our friends are Buddhists. Especially when we are going to embark our Life Together journey on Sharing (the next new book!), this will be very practical for evangelism.

22 July (Sun) - Church Cleaning Time!
Meet at Cana Hall at 1:20pm for a short briefing and to get our dust busting weapons before we head off purposefully to make the 3rd floor lobby and fans SHINE and SPARKLE! Oh come on. Don't be lazy. Let's make this our next... erm... random outing. Haha... It's not the most exciting thing to do, but it's the company that will create the atmosphere and fun! Who wants to step into a dirty church? No one right? So let's all put in effort to keep it clean! It's only once a year lo. Better than weekly household chores right? :)

28 July (Sat) - Impt function taking place
Ypm service: Same time. Different place. It'll be held at Tung Ling Centre! It's just beside Katong Mall. Call to ask if you're still unsure!

4 Aug (Sat) - The Journey and Festival of Praise (FOP)
The Journey: An amazing race like event that has many different stations to let you experience what a missionary goes through! Being called by God to missions, learning a language, going to bible school, eating ethnic meals, etc...
For those who've signed up, remember that we're going for the 10:30am-3:30pm slot. WARNING! Please reach church before 10:15am!!! They are going to start briefing us at 10:15am. And at 10:30am, everyone would have set off already. Haha.. In other words, just don't be late yes? Good... For those who haven't paid, please pay to Siew Ho aka Daniel $5 by 21 July.

Ppl who signed up (i think): Calvin, Siew Ho, Guang Hao, Yee Ning, Eunice, Wai Cheng, Yan Ling, Yuxi, Sarah, Wei Quan and Mel.
Festival of Praise: After slacking abit after The Journey, we'll get dinner and head for FOP together with the whole YPM. This will replace YPM service. It might end quite late at the indoor stadium, so be sure to tell your parents about it!
This year, Hillsongs and Don Moen will be there. More details in the FOP brochure. Go hunt for it!

don't you just love being pampered? :)

Rampage the durian!!! (as Jabez calls it)
Haha... Cheap dinner at Marina Square food court plus free rock band performance @ Esplanade!

The ppl at the mosh pit were mad. Ppl body-surfing (that's what you call it right?) and there's this guy who kept trying to jump up, but nobody wanted to catch him.. so he kept hitting the ground. lols. Head nodders, body shakers and flaming lighters waving... So much atmosphere!
Oh yes.. Since Jabez knows best about the bands, you can tell us more k? like.. critique.. or tell the group about what we heard on fri night..! :)

When it got late, we walked to our transport place, and we passed by the cookie shop. What's the name again? haha. suddenly forgot. Since yeening bought a brownie, we all took the chance to sit down (yes the whole group of us with yeening's brownie. haha. sneaky sneaky.) and rest from standing so long at esplanade. Chitchatchitchat. Then go home. Kinda late. haha. oops. Tireddd....

yet another update!

200 Volunteer Runners needed for ‘Smile for a Mile’: a jogging campaign for Disabled People’s Association (DPA)
"It is a collaboration: you do the mile, watching you… they smile : )"
Whether you are a fitness buff, a fun runner or simply a good samaritan with a heart to help, why not make your Sundays afternoons and trainings more meaningful by sweating it out for a worthy cause?

For the weekdays, youth would be at the forefront of the project, ordinary student runners from 15 schools would run a mile - that would amount to many miles!
For the weekends (Sundays), members of the public can adopt a running tag and thus a mile during our street sales; while a group of C.O.R.E runners will match the funds raised according with the no. of miles they will be running.
How can YOU help?
YOU are invited to be part of our 'C.O.R.E Runners' team! To run on behalf of our public donors on the days of our street sales!

Mel here! Sorry i procrastinated... haha. Here are the pretty photos we took at Sentosa! ok.. maybe not so pretty.. I'm not much of a photographer.. But at least i took pictureS! :)

First were those group photos that we took before we took the train in! All looking un-dirtied and all ready to have fun!

Then we played poison ball and volley ball and monkey... I would say that I'm quite impressed with us beginners at volleyball. Sporty calvin low taught us the techniques... So as we tried, and screamed, and made our arms ache, i think we managed to get the hang of it after a while..
Heh. I think we could like volley 5 times for our best record? APPLAUSE!

After lunch, (which we bought from the hawker before coming into Sentosa.. gd idea Bernard! Cheap is good...) we all went to nua in the water... Never got swept off your feet? Getting swept up and down by the small waves is good enough.. hah! Kinda lame.. but still fun la. It was so hot... and we were getting lazy. :x

To end it all, a refreshing shower and back to church just in time. Good time planning! Yeeaaaa...

Awww.. Sentosa was great fun! Cheerios to those who helped out organising the event and everyone for coming! For those who couldn't make it.. we'll organise more outings ya??? Be sure to join us!
